a quick real life funny
Apr. 26th, 2010 07:13 pmmy 8YO is reading a book series called Ivy & Bean, about two young mischievous girls. as you can imagine, i am finding it very difficult not to refer to the series as Vig/Bean. of course, my self-censorship apparently only works part time and i did mess up today, after which she asked...
"mommy, what's a veeg?"
(oops)
"it's a vegetable."
"what kind?"
"they go well with beans."
"which kind?"
"definitely green beans."
"what do they taste like?"
"i imagine salty."
"salty?"
"and probably more spicy than bean, i mean beans."
"so you've never had them?"
"sadly, no."
hopefully this conversation is forgotten before my husband asks my daughter how her day was.

Date: 2010-04-27 03:14 am (UTC)i think of sean as more juicy like steak and sweet like honey and smooth like ale. whereas viggo is spicy like salsa and salty like rain.
ok, yeah - no salt in rain, but you get the idea.
